Saturdays | July 9 & 23 | 1 to 4pm | York Neighborhood Bellingham, WA
Stephen and Helen host and gently guide bi-weekly experiments aimed at supporting us—as a community—to more deeply feel and process the enormous changes and tumult in our individual lives and the world at large. Tother we are cultivating a New Earth culture that uses music and other creative practices to explore and release what is painful, difficult, and isolating, and to cultivate greater joy, intimacy, and beauty in our relating.
After warming up and co-creating a “safe container,” we go deeper into collective improvisations, then take a short break before creating a final sound tapestry. This final improvisation is composed of musicians and movers who serve Spirit’s inspirations (as “hollow bones”) and those with the wish or need to fully receive. ”Receivers” and “hollow bones” create each other in a process that is mysterious and soothing for all.
These events are offered in the spirit of the Buddhist practice of dona—mutual generosity. In this practice, everyone brings their presence and participation and an exchange is offered to those who hold space for and guide the event.
Your contribution of any amount that aligns with your heart and circumstances gives us encouragement and material support to continue these offerings. Financial contributions are welcome via PayPay (friends & family option) or our in-person donation basket.
